Turn on your phone
You will want to swipe down from the top at this point to get the options to show up.
Click on the ‘gears’ icon
Click on “Email”
Your email icon may look different depending on the ‘flavor’ of Android
Click on ‘Manage Accounts’
If you already have an email account on your device, you will have the option to Manage Accounts
Add Email
If you do not have an account already set up, you will be prompted to add an account. Click ‘OK’
Enter your Information
Here is where you will enter in your Office 365 email account. You may need to scroll down to enter the password.
Enter Password
Click ‘Next’
Select ‘Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync’
If you are given any other options, select Office 365 or Exchange.
However, Activesync or Office 365 should be your first two options to try (again, this all depends on the version of Android)
Click Next
Click Next if you need to, however some versions will automatically proceed
Click ‘Next’ when Ready
After you set these preferences, click Next.
You can set it to Push, how many days of emails to sync, if you want it to notify you about email, how many weeks to sync in your calendar, etc.
Name your Account
You can name your account anything you like. I always recommend calling it ‘Company Account’ or something similar to differentiate between personal accounts and work accounts.
Then click ‘Done’! That is all there is to getting your Office 365 email on your Android device!
